Allow me to quote my favourite Joey Tribbiani: LONDON, BABY!!
Okay, but before that, here's my family and I at the airport before I depart. It was my first time going away on my own (even though it was just two months), it was exciting but I missed my family so much too. Although my mum did tell me that without me at home, the house is much cleaner and she's very happy about that. She even took a photo of the toilet to show me how 'spacious' it became without all my cream and lotion sigh. Hmm, I guess it's tough love huh.
So, Ama and I flew Emirates to London with a short transit at Dubai. Once we've landed in Heathrow Airport, we went to get our oyster card and headed out to the city which involved us lugging our huge backpacks onto the metro and seeing the metro getting more crowded at each stop and worrying about how we're gonna get off. Fortunately, quite a few commuters got off and we managed to get off without our backpacks sending anyone to the hospital too.
We stayed at the St. Christopher's Inn Hostel on Borough Street, if I remembered correctly. We arrived at the hostel before the check-in time, so well, we couldn't check in yet. So we left our backpacks in the hostel and headed out. Lemme see, what did we do on the first day there. I think we did nothing haha. I mean, we walked around! Think we went everywhere, big ben and covent garden etc etc.
Oh, highlight of the day was meeting the youtuber Louis! I wasn't really a fan, but there's Ama. Update: I am a fan now! So after bumping into him outside some tube station which I don't even remember, we resumed our busy schedule of walking around.
Had the best sandwich here!
That's all for the first day in London! The next day, we walked around more but only around the Queen's favourite castle ahem, and the oh-so-boring, i mean mysterious, Stonehenge.
